I just flew a test flight of a Airbus A350-900ULR with Singapore Airlines for 23 hours straight to Melbourne landing T2. That's when we tested their new system for aircraft lockout, override and control system (ALOC). From over 1000km away, we were informed that no controls will work and we provided data. Landed perfect. However, this system is only deployed in Australia as they don't trust other nations from selling the tech. Melbourne Airport has some new tech that they won't share. Those Aussies did invent WIFI, the blackbox and a bunch of other things we take for granted. Either way, terrorism prevention from knockout gas and no way to take back the aircraft and other counter measures we (pilots) are unaware of seem to only happen at Melbourne. At least the airport is always in top condition.

A question ....between 4.04 and 4.11 the pilot on the left adjusted or switched on/off 3 things .......what were they , and what would have happened if he hadn't done so ?? I rather fancy myself being capable of putting the landing gear down without any training .....

Those white and red lights in the front of runway are pappi lights. White on white - you're too high White on red - go ahead Red on red - you're dead. They chang depending on you're altitude. The right approach is white on red
